Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes

WAMS (Working Age MS) is a Portsmouth based group that has been set up to help and provide mutual support in a friendly and welcome environment. The group is not just aimed at the person who has the condition, it is also for their family, carer and friends. it is a place where people can learn from the experiences of others in all areas.

What We Do

We assist in giving the up-to-date information and support to those who are affected by the illness on a day-to-day basis, as well as signposting various other professionals and organisations that can help (see Useful Links in Other Information).

We also hold regular monthly meetings at Waterlooville Community Centre, 10 Maurepas Way, Waterlooville (next to Asda) from 7 - 9pm on the first Wednesday of the month.

In previous meetings, we have had discussions about Adult Social Care, Legal issues such as DWP and discrimination at the workplace, Physiotherapy and other therapies, Safety in the home, Medications and research trials, and so many other subjects and issues.

All books and leaflets are free to all take and keep for your use.
