Boaz Trust
"Accommodation and specialist support for people seeking sanctuary in Greater Manchester."
The Boaz Trust is a charity working with destitute asylum seekers and refugees, who have applied for sanctuary here in the UK, having fled persecution. Founded in 2004, the Boaz Trust remains the largest provider of both accommodation and support for destitute refugees and asylum seekers in Greater Manchester. Our accommodation is provided through shared houses and floating support.
As well as providing safe and stable accommodation, we help people to rebuild their lives following experiences of war and persecution overseas and homelessness in the UK by providing holistic support. Our Support workers refer clients to medical, legal and other specialist services, provide one to one pastoral support, help with food and other basic essentials, and involve in activities to develop skills and integrate within the wider community.
Boaz Shared Houses and Floating Support - we accept referrals via our online forms, which you can access by clicking here. Specialised support is available for people who are staying in our accommodation.
A donation of £2 a month could pay for bus tickets for a client to attend an appointment with a specialist service such as counselling or therapy. Accessing these services can help our clients recover from their experiences of persecution and destitution.
A donation of £10 a month could pay for a client's weekly food allowance. This allowance means that our clients are able to choose fresh food and other groceries, which can help to improve their diet and leads to improved physical and mental wellbeing.
A donation of £20 a month could pay for new bedding for a client as they move into Boaz accommodation. Accessing our safe and welcoming accommodation is an essential foundation for our clients and makes a real difference as they look to move forward with their lives.
