The free Dementia Advice Service offers information and advice to people who are living with memory loss or dementia, as well as their family and friends. Please click here for more details
Our Joining Forces programme, in association with SSAFA, is supporting the quality of life and wellbeing of veterans in Worcestershire.
The Social Prescribing Service offers you help in accessing non-medical support and services in partnership with your local Worcester City GP Practice.
Our Handyperson team are able to provide a range of adaptions to ensure your home is safe and enable you to live as independently as possible. There are a number of ways you can have these fitted:
Do you have minor DIY jobs that need doing in your home? Our handyperson service can help!
If you are aged 50 or over our Help at Home service can provide assistance with those tasks you may have difficulty doing, helping you to stay independent. Our employed Help at Home Assistants, will visit you on a regular basis (for a minimum of an hour per week) Please click here for more details
Are you worried about coping at home after a stay in hospital? Our Home from Hospital service can provide you with help to regain your independence and build your confidence following a stay in hospital.
This free service is available for anyone aged over 55, who is resident in Worcestershire and feels that they are unable to cope independently in the short term, or who do not have other home support from family or friends.
Are you or do you know someone who might be feeling lonely? With help loneliness can be something that you leave behind. With support to improve your mood, rebuild your confidence, and get you back on track, you can start to enjoy life again. Reconnections is a service that's already helping people all over Worcestershire. We offer friendly, practical and emotional support to those who feel lonely or isolated, bringing the fun back into life.
Our telephone befriending service offers you a regular chat with a friendly volunteer. Whether you want to discuss any issues which are concerning you or simply talk about what you've been doing, we have someone who can listen.

Our footcare and podiatry service offers regular appointments to maintain good foot health. If you are aged 50 or over and live in Worcestershire, the service is available for you.
Would you, or an older person you know, like to become confident in using computers and digital devices? One Digital is an innovative Big Lottery-funded partnership working across the UK to engage with, support and encourage older people to develop their digital skills and confidence. Droitwich Spa Meeting Centre provides a place where you are supported to understand and adapt to living with dementia. It is a totally member focussed group where all the activities and daily discussions are designed to interact and engage with the members.
We provide Carer Discussion Groups which give the carers an opportunity to talk with other carers and centre staff, and to get involved with the centre activities as much or as little as they want. The ultimate objective of the meeting centre is to give members and carers the tools and emotional support to adapt to the diagnosis, and for their continued wellbeing to live well with dementia.
Walking Group - Regular walking groups, every Monday from 10.15am, with a cuppa and biscuits at the end!
Using Technology - Want to learn how to log on, send an email, and search the internet? Find out about safely getting online!
Excercise Classes - We can find classes to suit all abilities to help you stay fit and healthy in later life.
Allotment - Do you enjoy gardening but no longer have your own? We are looking for older people to enjoy growing and gardening with us.
the Big Knit - is back and this year our target is bigger than ever before! Could you help us knit little hats to fit on top of Innocent Smoothie bottles? For every bottle sold we receive a donation, which helps us reach more older people across Herefordshire & Worcestershire.

Age UK Herefordshire & Worcestershire Training Solutions is a specialist health and social care training provider. Our training team provides skills training tailored to suit your individual needs. We specialise in training such as dementia care and manual handling, and also offer mandatory and recommended health and social care courses.
