We are a county-wide charity working with and for older people. We believe that later life should be valued and fulfilling. Through the services and support we provide, we aim to promote independence, enhance health and well-being and enable older people to access the information they need to make informed decisions about their lives.
We have a vision for Lancashire where those in later life can make positive contributions to the communities they live in, make informed choices and retain their independence and wellbeing.

Age UK Lancashire provides an information and advice service for older people aged 65+ and their carers. The service is free of charge, confidential, independent and impartial. We are able to help you with a range of issues. This may be about claiming benefits, housing, health and care issues or local services.

Age UK Lancashire's Day Time Support Service provides an opportunity for those in later life to socialise, learn or relearn skills and take part in fun activities. Services are delivered in a friendly, welcoming and safe small group environment. The needs of individuals are at the heart of the service which is delivered within appropriate staffing levels, supported by volunteers. This valuable service gives up to 12 weeks tailored support for older veterans, providing information and advice, practical support at home, access to social events and opportunities to become more active.
We deliver our Integrated Care programme across East Lancashire, bringing together voluntary, health and social care services to provide personalised support to older people who are living with long term conditions and are at risk of recurring, unplanned hospital admissions.
Our Home Help Service offers flexibility and choice to suit individual needs, enabling you to remain independent and comfortable in your own home. We are registered with the Safe Trader Scheme and all staff are DBS approved and fully insured. We aim to provide you with the same friendly, courteous and professional member of staff each visit.
Age of Opportunity engages people who are 50+ and who have low or no skills, to support them in moving towards employment. The project is focused on the barriers to training, work and employment, and addressing these barriers.
We offer short to medium term support to adults (18+), both in hospital and at home after an illness, bereavement or loss of confidence. We aim to improve a person’s health and wellbeing by supporting adults to recover and regain their normal independence. We will identify and help overcome situations that could cause a further Hospital admission. Time limited support is offered to assist you to regain your independence.
Free one to one support to those living with dementia or a memory concern and their carers, living in the West Lancashire and Chorley area. We aim to reduce social isolation, maintain independent living & provide opportunities to be involved in social, creative or educational activities.
Our fully trained, dedicated staff provide a high quality, professional nail cutting service which includes advice on how to improve and maintain general foot hygiene, also provide a reassuring check to deal with any potential foot care problems.

Arts Crafts & hobbies - There is something for everyone at our centres, whether it's exercise, knitting or arts & crafts, our centres provide a variety of opportunities to get active and take up hobbies and interests.
Keep Fit / Dance / exercise - Stay fit and well with our variety of different activities to keep you mobile and strong.
Computer Classes - Join one of our friendly Computer Classes and master that tablet, phone or computer sitting in the corner.
Lunch Clubs - Join one of our lunch clubs held either in one of our centres or a local community venue, they are a great place to meet new people or old friends
