involve Community Services
"Empowering the voluntary, community & faith sector in Bracknell, Wokingham & the surrounding areas."
We live and breathe the issues with starting, running and maintaining a successful charity. That’s why we are committed to taking away the worry of knowing what to do, how and when to do it. We help all our groups to truly thrive with innovative training, development and advice.
We support local people, local groups and local charities.
We work to help people who are setting up or developing a charity or voluntary group. We can guide you through the process and support you and your organisation in order for you to continue to develop and grow. We can signpost you to available funding and also give support on setting up governing documents & procedures.
We are the volunteer centre for Bracknell Forest and aim to encourage people to volunteer within their community. We can assist people with finding roles that are a suitable for them, and this includes people with additional needs. We have also set up a website for volunteering in Bracknell Forest: bracknellforestgetinvolved.org.uk
Also, we run a service called inTRUSTed, which is a bespoke trustee headhunting, recruitment and training programme designed to bring informed and engaged candidates to local trustee boards.
We organise, advertise and run various training courses and workshops of different subjects that are extremely valuable topics within the workplace. We are a local resource centre who provide information, meeting rooms and training as well as photocopying and basic printing services.
How We Make a Difference Locally in Bracknell & Wokingham
In surgeries throughout Wokingham Borough, we have Community Navigation and Social Prescribing schemes which helps people find appropriate local services, in order to improve people's local health and wellbeing.
We also have a Cancer Support Network, for anyone who has been or is currently affected by cancer in Berkshire, which includes 1-to-1 volunteer mentoring / support, and regular meet-ups / events, allowing people to share their experiences with others in a similar situation.
New for 2024, we have taken over responsibility of the new Frimley VCSE Alliance, connecting the charity sector and the Integrated Care System for the Frimley Health & Care footprint. And we have also started the Welcome Spaces project in Bracknell Forest, to reduce social isolation and increase community connection.
