Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes
Urban Saints is a charity that has been established since 1906! The main focus is to run weekly groups for young people (8-18) to adventure together, discover more about themselves and have a fun and safe place to belong. Thornton Urban Saints is a brand new group and is hoping to start very soon.
As young people are emerging out of lock down, as a community it would be right to say they need some fun, activities and perspective for their now and future.

We can give young people a fun night, in a safe and welcoming environment.
We hope to give young people the space to voice their thoughts and opinions, grow together and make new friends. We have annual camps and trips through the year all centred around discovering their thoughts towards faith, life and how their life matters and can impact others and their community.
We are a safe space, with DBS and Safeguarding trained volunteers, we have a kitchen for food treats and wide space for multiple activities.

If people from 16+ would like to be a trainee helper/ leader we'd love to hear from you!
- We are looking for people who enjoy empowering and working alongside young people
- Active listening skills
- Creative: be it in setting up spaces, leading group activities, upfront communications etc
- Team player who is up for learning and sharing
- Has a Christian faith or is supportive of having faith in Jesus (not mandatory)
