"Community Food larder and drop in. Offering support to those in need"
We try to help and support those who are struggling financially with food aid and information regarding money management and debt counselling through Christians against Poverty.
it is part of the Church's mission statement to reach out into the community. We love welcoming all into our Church Hall and hope that people feel accepted and cared for.
We run a weekly drop-in and food larder which is accessible and open to all in the community. There is also a contact email for emergency food parcels.
Through sitting and chatting with people we can find out what their needs are and signpost them to other agencies if we cannot help them ourselves.
The church has a care team who try to help people with problems other than food aid, e.g. shopping or picking up prescriptions.
We have volunteers who help set up the foodbank, collect from the supermarkets, make tea or simply chat to people. We always suggest that they come along and meet us first to see what their particular interest is. There is an assumption that all volunteers will be vetted according to our Safeguarding Policy.
