Sustainable South Brent
"Creating a resilient low-carbon community where all life thrives"
We're a charity completely run by volunteers, who've been working together since 2006 to help make South Brent (and our world) an even better place to live. We've got lots of inspirational projects covering Waste, Nature, Energy, Transport, and Food and Land. We also have a Community School Garden and a Young Adult Ambassador scheme, especially for 16-21 years olds. Each project is run by a friendly group of local people, who warmly welcome new volunteers. For details of each area and ways to contact projects, check out our website: ssb.org.uk. We're also on Facebook (@sustainablesouthbrent), Twitter and Instagram. Come and join us, and help make a difference.
"I joined SSB as a Young Adult Ambassador because being part of a community that is seeking to create a more sustainable way of living is really important to me. I am proud of where I live and I want to ensure future generations can also be proud of their homes and green spaces". (Eleanor)
Whether you're suffering from eco-anxiety, are looking for ways to help nature, reduce your carbon footprint, want to link with like-minded people, or just help keep the village tidy, we can help! You can sign up to our twice-monthly short 'newsflashes', giving lots of tips, advice on positive actions we can take, and information about local activities, plus a twice-yearly more detailed newsletter. New volunteers are always really welcome. Taking action, at whatever level suits you, is great for mental and physical health- and really does help make a difference for our community and our world.
We're also very happy to share with other groups (whether established or just setting up) about what we're doing and what we've learnt over the years.
There are so many ways to be involved and give your support, from active volunteering, to joining SSB as a member (only £6 pa, reduced rate also available), taking part in one of our events and activities, making a donation (via ssb.org.uk), taking action at home, or simply telling family and friends about us. If you have ideas for actions or new projects, or particular skills you can share (e.g. fund-raising and ICT are always helpful!), or would like to sponsor one (or more!) projects, we'd also love to hear from you: contact [email protected], or check us out on ssb.org.uk , or contact our projects directly:

Each profile on aDoddle.org is added by the individual organisation or by their representative. All information is shared in good faith with the ability, through aDoddle's unique 'Traffic Light System' for you to see when it was last updated. If Everyone Cares CIC and aDoddle.org are not endorsing any organisation directly.
To do so, click the "Send Message" button below. This will send the profile's account owner a message just letting them know that someone would like them to update their profile. It's completely anonymous and it's just a friendly reminder for the project.
