Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes

A group for women, led by women

We have been working in the centre of the community for over 30 years, keeping our service users at the heart of our decisions and developments.

What we do

We support women and girls in Greater Manchester. We believe that every woman is capable of achieving.

Our mission

Women and girls with a shared identity, striving together to enable positive change. For women, led by women.

Who we are

Ananna has empowered women for over 30 years across Greater Manchester. We provide meaningful activities, support, information and signposting, particularly for disadvantaged women that are survivors of domestic abuse or have struggled with mental health. We create a safe, welcoming and inclusive space that is led and run for women by women, keeping service users at the heart of decisions and developments. Ananna promotes social, financial, economic and political independence and minimises the adverse effects of deprivation. Ananna is proud of the community it serves and celebrates the diversity within it.

What We Do

Enabling your full potential

From advice sessions and workshops, to health and well being activities, we help unlock your full potential to shape your own future.

What we do

We aim to support women and girls through our drop in services, advice sessions, health and well-being activities and arts and crafts. We have experience working with women who are survivors of domestic abuse and are diagnosed or struggling with mental health. We currently have 8 weekly groups including a coffee morning, a carers group and a young girls group. Our groups and activities are service user led and change according to a needs basis. We believe that every woman is capable of achieving highly and are leaders in their own right, therefore we enable women to gain confidence and resilience, so that they can be the best version of themselves. We have a list of our services for you below. If you need help with signposting, then please get in touch with our team on our contact page.
