DESCRIPTION:The International Day of Birmingham\, celebrated on the 24th of September\, marks the unique and historic alliance between Birmingham\, UK\, and the 18 other Birminghams in North America\, collectively known as the United States of Birmingham. This day celebrates the formal agreements\, spearheaded by the Lord Mayor’s chosen ambassador Joe Harry Lycett\, which establish a lasting network of friendship between all the Birminghams. \nOn this day\, people from Birminghams across the globe join together to embrace their shared “Brummie-ness” and acknowledge the bonds that unite them. The highlight of the celebration is the collective chant of “Alright Bab” – a tribute to the Brummie way of life.
