SUMMARY:World Braille Day
DESCRIPTION:World Braille Day is an international day of awareness to highlight the importance of Braille as a means of communication for blind and visually impaired people. \nThe date\, 4 January\, is significant as it also marks Louis Braille’s birthday in 1809. \nLouis first presented his tactile system of reading and writing in 1824 when he was just 15 years old and spent the rest of his life perfecting it. \nBraille continues to be used globally in many different languages\, including music\, and even with the advent of accessible technology\, Braille continues to thrive\, allowing its readers to submerge themselves into language completely giving independence\, knowledge and freedom. \nRNC offers accredited BTEC qualifications in Braille to its students alongside their other studies. More details can be found here. \nHappy World Braille Day! \n  \nSource: News (rnc.ac.uk)

SUMMARY:International Day of Acceptance
DESCRIPTION:International Day of Acceptance takes place on the 20th of January every year as a powerful reminder of the importance of social acceptance and the inclusion of people with disabilities. \nThis day is dedicated to fostering a more inclusive society that recognises the abilities\, contributions\, and rights of all individuals\, regardless of their physical or mental challenges. \nIt emphasises the need to embrace diversity in all its forms and to advocate for equal opportunities and accessibility in every aspect of life. International Day of Acceptance is not only about raising awareness but also about taking action to create environments where differences are respected and celebrated. \nIt’s a call to individuals\, organisations\, and governments to promote understanding\, respect\, and equality for people with disabilities\, thereby enriching communities with diverse perspectives and talents. \n#InternationalDayOfAcceptance #InclusionMatters #DiversityAndInclusion #AccessibilityForAll #EqualOpportunities #EmbraceDiversity #InclusiveSociety \nSource:  International Day Of Acceptance | Awareness Days
