Learning Digital CIC

"Our aim is to help local residents in Bexley and surrounding areas to gain essential digital skills"

Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes

Our aim at Learning Digital is to help residents of the London Borough of Bexley and surrounding area to gain essential digital skills and give them access to the internet and computer equipment.

We are reaching out to vulnerable and disadvantaged groups who might be digitally excluded, socially excluded or financially excluded to try to help them improve their lives and overcome social challenges.

We are working to establish links with local organisations to offer training and support to groups of affected people. If you would like to work with us to make a difference to the lives of local people, please get in touch.

Learning Digital offers digital skills training, advice and support to digitally and socially excluded groups to help improve their lives and overcome social challenges.

Here are just a few of the basic skills that we can help with:

  • Browsing the internet, setting up and using email and attachments; dealing with spam.
  • Password management, managing and storing digital information.
  • Communicating: We can help tackle social exclusion by teaching people how to communicate, interact, collaborate, share and connect with others using Skype and social media.
  • Purchasing and selling goods and services online.
  • Organising finances, using money saving websites, registering for and using government digital services.
Are you having problems with your computer? It may be something simple and we can offer advice and support.

Computer help group: Bexley Computer Club

We meet on three Monday evenings a month between 5.30pm and 7pm at Hurst Community Centre, Hurst Road, Hurst Place, Bexley DA5 3LH.

We have three computer helpers. The session usually starts off with a short presentation by one of the helpers followed by support and advice on whatever people need at the time.

Cost £4 per session.

Please contact Martin Hayes on 07779 481654 before turning up for the first time.
