South West Herts Samaritans

"Reaching out to everyone who is going through a personal crisis and doesn't know where to turn"

Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes

SW Herts branch is part of the national Samaritans movement and serves five boroughs (Watford, St Albans, Hertsmere, Three Rivers and Dacorum) with a combined population of around 500,000.

For nearly fifty years we have offered a confidential listening ear to local people who are upset or struggling to cope.  Our service is available round the clock by telephone and we have regular visiting hours, when people can simply drop in to talk to us. If you can describe your feelings better using the written word you may also email us and receive a personal reply from one of our friendly, trained volunteers. We firmly believe that emotional health is just as important as physical health.  You don't have to be suicidal to contact us.
