Citizens Advice provides free, confidential and independent advice to help people overcome their problems.

We are a voice for our clients and consumers on the issues that matter to them.

Citizens Advice Lancashire offer information and advice to the general public in Housing, Debt, Employment, Immigration, Benefits and Family Matters/Relationship by phone, face to face and web-chat.

We also provide the pension wise service for the whole of Lancashire. We offer law clinic appointments and run projects offering early intervention domestic abuse training to other agencies and we also have a Help Through Crisis lottery project across Chorley and South Ribble.

We operate across 5 Council areas in Lancashire. These include Chorley, South Ribble, Wyre, West Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen.

Quite simply, we're here to help the people of Lancashire with the problems they face. Our advice is free, confidential, impartial and independent. We operate from five locations across Lancashire: Chorley , Leyland , Fleetwood Skelmersdale, and Blackburn with Darwen . We provide advice in person at our offices, via our telephone helpline or by email.

If you have a problem you need help with there are several options available to you:

  • Look through the advice sections detailed & visit our main AdviceGuide site.
  • Telephone our Gateway Service on: 0344 245 1294 (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) (local rate number).
  • Call in to your local bureau. Select your most convenient location from our Area Map for details of our opening times and office addresses.
  • If it’s more convenient, we now offer advice by email. Click on the following link to use this option

We make a difference

7 in every 10 people who sought our help last year had their problem solved. Helping people solve their problems can stop issues getting worse, which can save money further down the line. In 2017-18 we saved government and public services at least £435 million.
