Dawlish Local History Group

"The group is a forum for local history with regular talks and outings."

Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes

The Dawlish Local History Group offers opportunities to explore and reflect on what life was like in the local area in times past with talks, presentations and outings.

We usually meet on the first Tuesday of the month. Talks take place at the Manor House in Dawlish at 2.30pm. They are chosen to be both informative and entertaining. We also plan to hold occasional evening meetings. The programme includes outings to places of historical interest.

The group undertakes research on the history of the local area. Members are kept up to date with events and activities by a regular newsletter.
