AbilityNet Free Tech Support

"Free support and advice on technology for disabled and older people"

Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes

AbilityNet is here to support older and/or disabled people, of any age, to use digital technology so they can achieve their goals at home, at work and in education.

Clients can call our Freephone helpline to receive advice and information or book a support session with one of our carefully selected and vetted Tech volunteers.

Our volunteers provide a range of support through home visits and remote assistance - helping our clients to get the most out of their technology.

We’re an award-winning UK charity with supporters including IBM and Microsoft.

What We Do

Are you an older person that struggles to use your computer?

Or perhaps you have a specific health condition or impairment that means you find it difficult to use your smartphone or other digital devices?

Our IT Can Help volunteers will assist you so that you can get the most out of your technology!

Our volunteers are disclosure-checked and can visit you in your home or assist remotely to help with tasks such as setting up your computer, solving error messages and much more.

They have relevant IT skills and can help with laptops, computer systems, tablets, smartphones and assistive technology.

Unfortunately, our volunteers can’t provide free hardware or software.
