Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes

What We Do

We support families in need by working in partnership with our referral partners such as children’s centres, health visitors, women’s shelters and other social service agencies. All donations go directly to the families they support, and each item to someone who specifically needs it.

We do not support individuals or families directly. If you are expecting a baby or need help with clothes, toys or other items for your children, please speak with your health visitor, local children’s centre or social worker who will contact us on your behalf.

If you have clothes, toys or other items for babies and children that you no longer use, we can pass them on to a local family who really needs them. As storage is an issue for us, please check our monthly wish list on the website and social media to see the items we are most in need of at any given time.

 

We would also be very grateful for the following:

• Items we can add to the deliveries – new nappies, wipes, creams, lotions etc. We use these to make up mini hampers for babies.
• Treats for Mum – new and unopened shampoo, body wash, moisturiser, lip balms etc. We always like to include a treat for Mum in with the deliveries.
• Coffee, tea, biscuits etc. that we can share with our team of volunteers at Donation Station events and when they are helping out at the ‘Stork HQ’.
  

Volunteer

We need volunteers! If you're near to Redhill in Surrey and you'd like to volunteer with us, either on a regular or ad-hoc basis, we'd love to hear from you.

Volunteering roles can range from spending an hour or two a week, to helping coordinate a campaign or regularly helping at one of our morning shifts at the office. All help is appreciated, no matter how small.

If you work for a company and would like to help as part of your CSR strategy, we offer corporate volunteering days. They are designed to be rewarding, fun and based around team bonding.

Other Ways to Help

As well as donating preloved items or volunteering your time, there are many other ways you can help our cause. Some examples are shopping online through Give As You Live or easy fundraising or buying from our Amazon Wish List. Please see our website for more information.
