Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes
Here at Baby Bank Network Bristol, we collect donations of pre-loved baby equipment, clothing, toys, toiletries and other essentials and pass them on to families across Bristol who are experiencing poverty or crisis.
Our small staff team, supported by many wonderful volunteers, make sure all of your pre-loved donations get to the people who need them most. Working with a network of local referral partners, we currently support around 40 families a week.
By passing on items that have been used and loved by your family to another, we help to prolong the life of your gifts. This helps the environment by reducing the number of new items that need to be made and creating a circular sharing economy that benefits us all.
Baby Bank Network Bristol was founded in 2015 by Eva Fernandes, Becky Gilbert and Melissa Burgers. Organised from their kitchen tables with donations collected and sorted in garages and spare rooms (often with their babies strapped to their chests!), the charity has grown to be a vital and respected organisation which supports over 40 families every week.

We collect donations of pre-loved baby equipment, clothing, toys, toiletries and other essentials and pass them on to families across Bristol who are experiencing poverty or crisis.
We invite referrals from all agencies and organisations that are in contact with vulnerable families to make sure that they are provided with items to ensure their babies’ basic needs are met.
We currently collect items for newborns up to age 5 years. All items are given to recipients free of charge. Baby Bank cannot have direct contact with the families themselves, and we do not collect any information about them.
If you work with families that you would like to refer, please visit our Referrals Website and read our Become a Referral partner page for more information. If the page is blocked, please contact your IT support and ask them to unblock us. Thank you.
If you need help and would like to be referred to Baby Bank Network, please ask your health visitor, local children’s centre or other professional to contact us on your behalf.

Volunteers have always been at the heart of Baby Bank Network. We simply couldn’t support over 1,500 families each year without our dedicated team of volunteers giving their time, energy and skills.
Whether you’re looking for a way to meet new people, learn new skills or gain experience we would love to welcome you into the team! You will be making a real difference to vulnerable families in our community – making sure they have the things they need for their babies and children.
