Stop It Now!
"Supporting adults to play their part in prevention of child sexual abuse"
Every day, children and young people across the UK suffer sexual abuse, most commonly at the hands of someone they know. Latest research suggests at least one in six children aged 11-17 become victims.
We work to prevent abuse from happening in the first place - and to prevent it from happening again if it already has.
Where abuse has already taken place, we work with all those affected including adult male and female abusers; young people with harmful sexual behaviour; children with concerning sexual behaviours; victims of abuse and other family members. But we also work in families and with adults and young people where there has been no abuse, to help them keep themselves and others as safe as possible.
We support adults to play their part in prevention through providing sound information, educating members of the public, training those who work with children and families and running our Freephone confidential Helpline.
The Stop it Now! Helpline is available for anyone with concerns about child sexual abuse.
Callers do not need to give identifying information, so can remain anonymous. We speak to thousands of people every year, and help them take action to protect children and young people from sexual abuse and exploitation.
The Stop it Now! Helpline 0808 1000 900, is available from 9am - 9pm Monday - Thursday and 9am - 5pm on Fridays.
You can message the helpline using our secure messaging service by clicking here. Our messaging service is not able to offer an immediate response due to high demand. We aim to respond to messages within 5-7 working days. If your enquiry is urgent please call the confidential Helpline.

While they all do it for different reasons, they all have the same goal in mind - protecting children from sexual abuse by supporting a child protection charity.

The Helpline is confidential and you don't have to give us your full name or any other details that will identify you. But if you do, and then give us information that identifies a child who has been - or is at risk of being - abused, or any information which may suggest that any other person is at risk of harm, then we will pass that information on to the appropriate agencies. We will also pass on details of any criminal offence committed.
