BEAM
"Supporting Mothers whose children have been adopted, are in care or live elsewhere."
BEAM is a support group for Mothers whose children have been adopted, are in care or live elsewhere.
We do it because you will always be a mother. If you have given birth to a child you will be that child’s mother for the rest of their life. We want to support you in the loss and pain you are experiencing – whether your child was taken recently or many years ago. This might be by forced adoption or agreement. You do not have to live with this unbearable pain alone.
BEAM is here to help you work through the emotions you are feeling with others who truly understand. We want to see women discover their worth and value, regardless of what has happened to them. We provide this support so that women might be able to grow and be empowered and to ultimately move forward despite the pain.
BEAM is a place where you can really be listened to and understood. We have times of sharing, learning, laughter and tears. Every mother here understands like no one else ever could.
We meet every Monday in Ipswich from 9:30am to 11am. There is no judgement. It is confidential, caring and it's free.
BEAM also provides a 12 week well-being course which runs at 8pm on an evening in the week. We cover topics such as overthinking, shame, depression, anxiety, anger, etc. The mothers apart from their children who have taken part have found it really helpful and life changing. Because it is on Zoom we offer it to any mother in the UK. It is free and confidential. Get in touch if you want more information.
Contact us if you'd like to come along locally or if you are interested in the online course using the online form here
