Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes
We provide a variety of services to help and support the homeless and people in need in Totnes and the surrounding areas. We want to see people move from surviving to thriving.
We aim not just to feed the homeless but to work alongside homeless people to look for ways to facilitate opportunities that will change their circumstances, bringing hope and a future into the lives of those in need.

Get in touchWhat We Do
- Working with local agencies we offer support for housing, drug and alcohol abuse and financial support
- A hot meal a day
- Home visits on Friday afternoon
- We have free courses available and computers in the centre for out clients to use
- Offer support with clothing, toiletries, bedding and fresh take away food, when available
- We have support workers on Tuesdays to Fridays to help clients with any of their needs
- We run the local Food Bank offering one-off Emergency Food Parcels, as well as ongoing support for those who need it. If you need ongoing support you will need to get a referral.

Giving Back
Many of us want to help the homeless and those in need, but are not sure of the best way to do so. At times there can be a dilemma in giving cash. Giving food is not always welcomed by the homeless. We have heard of instances where poison or even glass has been placed in the food given to homeless people. So, understandably they can be reticent about receiving food from the public.
Giving Back is a conduit through which you can give without reservation, knowing that your money will go directly to meeting the needs of the homeless and others in need. It is an initiative working with selected shops in Totnes, enabling patrons to make a gift to benefit homeless and other local people in need."Giving Back" promotes giving to others from a place of gratitude for what we have, for no other reason other than because we can.
