Rebound Carers' Support Group

"We are dedicated to uplifting and guiding the loved ones of those struggling with addiction."

Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes

Rebound Group is a confidential, empathetic support group, caring about carers. We offer free support and assistance to carers and family members affected by a loved ones' drugs, alcohol and substance misuse and their associated mental health problems, in both group and one-to-one counselling settings, as needed.

The group is run by members who have attended for many years, and are able to help because of their first hand experience - they have a family member in addiction themselves.

We seek to support our members:

To understand the problems our loved ones face when trying to come to terms with their addiction.

To gain strength by keeping boundaries and concentrating on our own lives.

To be kind to ourselves by interacting with others who are in a similar situations, and support each other to concentrate on our own mental and physical health.

To accept we cannot change our loved ones’ choices and behaviours; they can only change their own attitude and learn to accept their situation.
