The Hot Choc Mob Homeless Volunteer Group
"We're a friendly group of volunteers who engage with the homeless community on the streets of London"
Welcome to The Hot Choc Mob! We're a friendly group of volunteers who meet regularly to engage with the homeless community on the streets of London. Our purpose is to interact with rough sleepers and other vulnerable members of society, while providing hot drinks, food, clothing and a chat!
The Hot Choc Mob was created by volunteers from a wide range of the wonderful groups that regularly help homeless people in London. The number of people we see on the streets has risen drastically over the past few years, and we felt that this group would offer an opportunity for all those who'd like to help them.
Our main objective is to create a little warmth in the lives of people whose daily existence can be a struggle. We seek to approach all those we meet with an open-minded spirit of empathy and solidarity, and are not affiliated with any charity or religious ideology.
The Hot Choc Mob's meetups involve going out in small groups, led by one of our walk leaders, for an hour or so, during which we share the provisions we have and talk with/listen to those we meet.
If you'd like to volunteer with us, we go out every two weeks on a Tuesday evening. You can join the group and RSVP to our next meetups here - Join the Hot Choc Mob Homeless Volunteer Group
We look forward to seeing you at a mobbing soon!
