"Rotarians support causes - volunteers 'doing good in the community', locally and internationally."
Rotary, a global 'voluntary service' organisation, supporting causes and striving to 'do good in the community' - locally; nationally and internationally.
In general, we collaborate with others to support various causes, usually by helping arrange 'fundraising events'; or providing volunteer resources at events; etc..
Opportunities for 'Entrepreneurs' to provide a product or service, which addresses a Rotary Foundation '7 Areas of Focus' or the UN-17SDG's
Our Vision is:
TOGETHER we see a world where PEOPLE unite and take action, to CREATE lasting CHANGE, across the globe, in our communities and in ourselves.
There are Rotary groups all over the world; specifically in Scotland South we have 95 groups; there are others in the North of Scotland - that is 2 Districts. There are 24 Districts throughout the UK.
If you are a charitable organisation, you may wish to collaborate; if you are a School or youth organisation - we have 'youth' programs that mirror what Rotarians do; if you are an individual - contacting the local group might then provide access or advice to support - each situation is different, therefore unable to be specific in this aspect.
Being involved with Rotary, enables 'personal development'; 'business development'; 'networking opportunities'; 'entrepreneurial opportunities'; 'fun and service' opportunities.
If you are willing and able to offer as little as 1 - 2 hours each month, that is ideal - you can get as heavily involved as you desire - but caution is advised, as it can take over your life.
A range of tasks and skills are always needed; project management; planning; logistics; health & safety - risk assessment; administration; finances; the range grows, along with the opportunities for personal and professional development.
You may wish to eventually become a Rotarian, or just remain a friend of Rotary - involved in the various events and activities.
Although, as a Rotarian - you will find that the world of opportunities will be open to you, literally...
