What is so important here in Thanet? Some parts are among the most deprived in the UK. Thanet has one of the highest rates of unemployment in Kent, and that figure is rising. Food banks serve a purpose, they are there to help families that are struggling to put food on the table. We are seeing people use the food bank that thought they would never use a food bank in their lives. I think this could happen to anyone.
