Arts Connection - Cyswllt Celf
"Inspiring people to participate in the arts, enhancing their creativity and wellbeing"
Arts Connection – Cyswllt Celf is an independent participatory arts registered charity and have provided high quality participatory arts projects in a wide range of artistic mediums since 1994. Our work with schools, children, youth, people with learning disabilities and the wider community offers increased involvement and participation and a welcoming bilingual doorway into the arts.
Our mission is to inspire people to participate in the arts,
enhancing their creativity and wellbeing and our goals are:
PARTICIPATION – widen opportunities for people to engage and participate in the arts
DIVERSITY – promote inclusivity and diversity in the arts
SUSTAINABILITY – build a more sustainable, viable and resilient organisation
Benefits of Participatory Arts
The participatory arts are of great value to people and society. They have a role to play in creating resilient and compassionate individuals and communities. Participating in the arts can help create:
We look to incorporate the arts into the lives of individuals and communities. We widen participation and engagement in the arts by delivering projects in a range of communities and delivering through different art forms and ensuring the work we do is accessible. We operate in a rural area and often provide provision where none exists. We deliver new opportunities for creative expression that will engage and inspire those that already love the arts and also those that don’t usually take part.
Trustees
We are looking for a new Trustees to join our already diverse and vibrant board. If you think you could contribute, we’d love to hear from you! We encourage applications from anyone over 18.
Volunteers
Volunteers play a vital role in supporting the work of AC – CC. As a small staff team, we rely on volunteers to help deliver our projects and events. We have a number of volunteer roles ranging from helping set up with events to judging competitions we hold. We have short term and longer-term opportunities.
Recruitment
We recruit for volunteers as the need arises. We often approach volunteers directly but we also advertise on our website and through our social media channels for others. We take account of our policies such as our Equal Opportunities, DBS and others when recruiting volunteers.
