Survivors' Network

"Uniting to confront sexual violence, abuse and harassment so no one has to face the impacts alone"

Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes

Survivors' Network aims to reduce sexual violence and its impact on survivors' lives. We are the Rape Crisis Centre for Sussex, and we offer counselling, advocacy, peer support and groupwork as well as training for professionals.

We know that it takes a lot of courage to seek help for the effects of sexual abuse. There is no right or wrong way to feel afterwards and there is no fixed time for recovery. No-one ever asks to be raped or is responsible for their abuse in any way. We believe that with the right support you can heal from your experiences.

Our services enable survivors to feel more in control of their lives, have improved health and wellbeing, increase their ability to develop and maintain healthy relationships and become more aware of the options and support available to them

Volunteer

We have launched a crowd-funder to help equip YOU with the resources you need to change the world – whether through campaigning, learning how to take care of yourself as a survivor or gaining the tools to support your loved ones.

If you can help raise £2,500 by the 23rd of March we will be able to start the journey of funding a library of resources, a body of training and support, and a range of workshops…all with the goal of empowering YOU.

Everything you do has an impact.

Every share of our crowdfunder link helps us to reach more people.

Every donation, even just £1, helps us towards the £2,500 goal.

We can’t wait to build these resources with you, and take the first steps towards a world where we aren’t needed anymore.

Alongside our Crowdfunder, we recruit for self-identified female volunteers for our Helpline twice a year, and we always welcome potential Fundraising & Events volunteers.
