Cafe Connect
"Cafe - Food Support"
Do come and enjoy the cakes and fresh coffee on offer, along with helping stop food waste by taking any of the food we have collected from the supermarkets Tesco Superstore, Lidl Transit Way, Marks and Spencer and Coop St Budeaux.
Pay as you feel and are able
The focus of our community work is to build assets and services that benefit a wide audience from babies to the elderly, helping to create lasting connections between those who access our services. This intergenerational approach helps to reduce isolation, improve community connectedness and foster a sense of belonging where people live.
We deliver a community café supported by Starbucks, M&S, Tesco and Lidl. We are rejuvenating a community allotment space, helping it to become a thriving outdoor learning space for a whole community. We are delivering social action projects for young people in the community they live.
We are now working hard to start the renovation of the Bull Point Barracks site in Barne Barton, with the ambition of turning it into a thriving hub to help people’s social, emotional and mental health.
You can volunteer to help in the cafe on Wednesdays, collect the food once a week on Tuesday. We would love to hear from anyone that wants to give back to the community.
