Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes
I was diagnosed with HIV nearly 15 years ago and without the support of peers which I found at Body Positive Dorset I would probably not be sat here today typing this.
Being newly diagnosed is and can be a very scary place to be, but you are not alone, even though it may feel like it at the time. By finding peers your path can be made much easier and that feeling of being isolated is alleviated in a very short time.
We also support people that have been living with HIV and you never know when you might need some help.
Living with HIV will become a small part of who you are and will define you.
Knowing that other people were living with HIV and living well with HIV was a massive turning part of my journey and made a difference straight away.

Need help with benefit, housing, immigration and much more.
We also have our own counselling service, which is very beneficial and has been to many of our service users.
We also have social events, Coffee Club every Friday, a new Yoga class starting, art club and much much more.
