Navigate CIO

"Providing free debt and money advice; running training courses in financial literacy."

Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes

We work across rural areas of Devon and Somerset. We know living rurally is difficult, with less services and higher costs. We support people who have debt and money problems and are isolated from mainstream services. This might be because of health issues, lack of confidence and understanding of telephone advice or form filling on your own, for example, or not being able to access digitally.  Maybe the difficulties are just too big to know where to start. We can give you information about people or grants that can help. If we can work alongside you to help with your money or debt problems, we will provide a named caseworker who will visit you at home and can stay in touch until things are sorted. We can also give you tips and information to improve your skills around budgeting and managing money. We run lots of different workshops and training called 'Navigate the Money Maze', to help understand jargon and enable people to understand more and make informed decisions.

Volunteer

All of our advisory staff are fully trained and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority to ensure they give quality impartial advice. People can help by passing on information about our service. Or by getting a group of people together who would be interested in our 'Navigate the Money Maze' workshops to learn more about basic budgeting and money skills.
