Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes

Drop Zone Youth Projects has been operating since 2004 and provides activities and support for young people across Furness. We provide projects aimed at raising the aspirations and achievements of young people. We provide an extensive alternative education provision for young people who find mainstream education difficult to engage in and youth clubs and projects across the area for young people to explore their world in a safe, supportive way, have fun and socialise.

What We Do

We run youth clubs in Barrow, Dalton, Askam and Ormsgill

We provide a young peoples LGBTQ+ support group and provides a space for LGBTQ+ adults to meet socially. 

We run Furness Pride

We run education services to support young people who find mainstream school difficult and to develop young peoples literacy, numeracy and life skills.

We offer mental health support.

We offer transition support

We provide holiday activities for young people.

We help young people develop social action projects

We advocate on behalf of young people at a strategic level.
