There are 1,672 Voluntary, Community + Faith Based groups, Social Enterprises & charities operating in Stockport (as of 2021).
Food Banks, Toddler Groups, Mental Health support, Fitness Clubs, Animal Shelters, Befriending Cafes and so much more. An overwhelming majority of these groups cannot run without the support of dedicated volunteers.

The Volunteer Hub is the legacy of the kindness of people from Stockport, who stepped up at the start of the pandemic to volunteer their time and who continue to do so.
Developed by Healthwatch Stockport and Sector3, in collaboration with the third sector, the hub shares volunteering opportunities for folks who want to help others and learn new skills.
We connect people who want to do good with groups and organisations who are out supporting communities on the ground.

We're at the One Stockport Hub in Merseyway on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, 10am - 3pm. Pop by to speak to the Volunteer Hub Lead, Lee, to get support with finding a volunteer role.
