The Hub - Bridging the Gap (by Q1 Foundation)
"Providing support to people in the Goring Gap area, including information, help and connections."
The Hub supports adults in our local community of Goring, Streatley, South Stoke and surrounding areas. We provide high quality, friendly and easily accessible support, social interaction and guidance - right at the heart of the community.
We bridge the gaps in our society;
- so no-one feels lonely or isolated
- so everyone receives the help and support they are entitled to
- so people are connected to each other, and to organisations that can assist them.
We believe this will improve quality of life for all, and improve our community.
The Hub is operated by Q1 Foundation - a small,
local registered charity, reliant on fundraising to
run its services.
Our services include:
- Providing guidance and support - friendly, local 1-1 assistance in person or by telephone, email or video call (e.g. help with arranging care, or making benefit applications).
- Connecting people - with each other for friendship, or other relevant organisations.
- Supporting wellbeing with groups, activities, talks and events - including board games groups, art activities, dementia talks, exercise classes, coffee mornings and more!
- Safe, warm space - a relaxed, dementia-friendly venue for the community to meet and chat and for carers to connect.
- Contributing to the community - our active volunteer network provides invaluable assistance and support across the community in a variety of roles.
- Collaborating - working with other organisations to
achieve the best outcomes for our community.
