Loose Ends Newbury
"Providing free hot meals to Adults homeless, lonely, vulnerable or struggling to make ends meet."
Loose Ends provides free hot meals to adults who are homeless or vulnerable 5 days a week. We also can provide them with food parcels, clothing and personal items. We are run entirely be volunteers and have been operating in Newbury for over 30 years.
We also provide Northcroft Kitchen, a separate cafe service providing a free hot meal for parents and carers and their children every Monday afternoon during term time and on Thursday lunchtimes in the summer holidays.
We can provide adults who are homeless or vulnerable with a free hot meal five days a week as well as food parcels and clothing and other essential items. You can drop in to any of our Loose Ends sessions. In the winter we provide a 'warm space' for anyone on Tuesday mornings.
If you are a parent or carer with children and experiencing financial difficulties we can offer you and your family a free hot meal if you drop in to our Monday afternoon families only service in Northcroft Kitchen.
We are always keen to recruit volunteers to join our friendly teams of cooks and helpers. We give full support and training to new volunteers. If you are interested visit our website and look for the volunteering information.
