Buzz Community Energy

"Empowering communities, energising change, renewable energy projects and energy saving advice"

Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes

Buzz Community Energy is a community benefit society working on local, renewable energy projects such as rooftop solar for local schools, helping them to reduce their energy costs and cut Co2 emmissions. It's a great educational project for the school children to be involved in, learning how this will help our planet in tackling climate change and our country with better energy security and being less reliant on foreign eneregy imports as well as helping to bring down energy bills for everyone.

By working with other community energy groups, local authorities, businesses and other organisations such UK Power Networks we are also aiming to engage with our local community and help people to reduce their energy bills by providing practical advice and help. By helping people reduce their energy consumption this will save them money as well as cut our carbon footprint. It will of course help the most vulnerable in our community, lifting people out of fuel poverty but also helping small businesses survive by cutting their energy costs which helps our local economy, making it stronger and more resilient.

What We Do

If a local school or other public building, commercial landlord or business owner is interested in having rooftop solar installed then get in touch with us to find out if we can help. We will need to conduct a feasibility study to find out if the project is viable before getting quotes from accredited installers. Once this has been done we will then look to raise the necessary funds by issuing community shares and inviting local people to invest in the community project with a typical return of around 4% over a period of time. Any profits generated by Buzz Community Energy will be reinvested in the local community through other community projects as well as helping schools cut their energy costs.

If you are a local resident or small business owner who would like help in finding out how you can reduce your energy bills then you can get in touch with us.
