Audacious Foundation
"Changing Lives, Transforming Communities"
Audacious Foundation was created to serve the communities of Greater Manchester and help address issues faced by the region including poverty, homelessness and family challenges.
Audacious Foundation works to see UK communities transformed and individuals empowered and enabled to thrive in every season of life.
Our mission is to build better futures by providing practical solutions to societal challenges fostering intentional relationships with business, government and third sector organisations that positively influence the growth of a stronger society.
Our Audacious A-TEAMS meet the immediate needs of homeless men and women in Manchester, supporting the dignity, health and wellbeing of individuals who find themselves in vulnerable situations on the streets.
A-TEAMS has been operating in the city centre region for nearly ten years. Our group of 50 dedicated volunteers give their time to support an average of 100 homeless people each week, providing food, toiletries and practical items to those in need- seven days per week.
Through our weekly drop-in, we also provide social support and signposting to relevant services. Offering a free hot three-course meal, barber service, chiropody treatment, clothing, sleeping bags and toiletries; we cater for an average of 40 people per week and up to 120 at our busiest periods.
Our A-TEAMS drop-in is currently operating a takeaway service on Mondays and Wednesdays between 1pm – 3pm. For more information email [email protected]
We are currently working with Reset to inspire, encourage and equip organisations to become Community Sponsors. Community sponsorship is a practical way for communities to help transform the lives of vulnerable Syrian refugee families who are being resettled to the UK. Sponsor groups take on the responsibility of welcoming a family into their new environment and supporting them on their journey as they build a new life.
For Refugees ensures that Sponsor groups are matched with a refugee family from the Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Programme and support them from their arrival in UK.
This includes: meeting the family at the airport, providing a warm welcome and orientation, arranging housing, supporting access to medical and social services, organising language tuition, and support towards employment and self-sufficiency.

HOME has grown directly out of our A-Teams work, supporting the homeless in the Manchester city centre region. Focused on building better futures for those experiencing homelessness, HOME works in partnership with investment organisations and local housing providers to place men and women who have been living on the streets into supported accommodation.
The aim of HOME is to provide vulnerable individuals with more than just a roof over their head. Through this project we commit to walking out long-term transformation with individuals, step-by-step. Supporting the journey from street to stability, our team of staff and volunteers help them turn a house into a home, re-integrate into local community life and access relevant training courses. By building individual capacity in the context of community, we prepare our tenants to manage and maintain their own property agreements, positioning them to own a home of their own in the future.
Through our Care Solutions project, we provide practical and emotional support to people living with cancer. Our team of volunteers have supported hundreds of people across the communities of Greater Manchester, standing alongside them when they need it most. For more information email [email protected]
We are passionate that no child goes hungry during the holidays. Over the last few years through our holiday lunch programs, Audacious Foundation has provided fresh sandwiches and snacks to a number of Primary School academies for those who would usually be in receipt of free school meals. We have provided over 6,500 holiday club lunches year on year, and have since developed the project to include a holiday club kids program; facilitating activities that will positively engage children, raise aspirations & encourage healthy lifestyles.
This year, we have gone one step further by launching our healthy schools partnership and project that engages children and parents in an after school program on a weekly basis. Working with one of our local primary schools, the program includes an emotional health workshop and skills development session for children- as well as cooking classes for parents.
Mini Heroes is a community initiative, enabling parents and young families to thrive. Focussed on positive parenting, child development and reducing social isolation; we recognise that building relationships are key to the improved wellbeing of parents and children alike. It’s an opportunity for local families to come together on a weekly basis and for babies and toddlers to have fun in a safe environment; providing a much needed outlet for those who are in need of additional support.

In response to the growing need for accessible language courses across our city region, Audacious Foundation have delivered a series of free conversational English projects. Benefitting more than 120 people every week, our friendly tuition has fostered friendships and built confidence, whilst also improving the language skills needed to build relationships in local communities and access the workplace.
Our custom built, community based School of Language model has achieved exceptional results, but more importantly it has changed lives. It exists primarily to reduce isolation and improve wellbeing, equipping people in vulnerable situations with the valuable, life-long language skills that achieve significant outcomes.
