What do we grow? People!
We provide opportunities to develop friendships, confidence and skills through community gardening, conservation, upcycled crafts and other activities. You can expect a warm welcome and every effort is made to adapt to different needs and abilities. We also actively encourage people to share their skills and knowledge with the team.
Connecting with nature is so good for both our mental and physical health and being part of a friendly group also helps to tackle loneliness. Growing lovely, organic food to share is an added bonus!

Get in touchWhat We Do
We offer a range of regular gardening, conservation and creative activities, during the week. Please check first as we sometimes have to adapt to the weather!
We also offer 'TGT Assist' to help people with form-filling, getting online, preparing for employment etc.
We have a vast experience in working with long-term unemployed people, especially those with additional challenges. We can help people to overcome barriers and set achievable targets through our 'Growing Towards Employment' programme.

We always need willing volunteers who could help us with:
- Gardening and practical activities (especially ‘Gardening Buddies’)
- Designing, making and selling items
- Supporting people with form-filling and employability/digital skills
- Increasing our traded income
- Fundraising activities and grant applications
- Media and publicity
- Governance and administration
- Sourcing materials and equipment for gardening and craft
- Finding a suitable (and affordable) base for a craft workshop, storage and office/retail
