Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes

ResoLUTiONs is a service that offers advice and information, local support, stories and referrals for adults, young people and their friends, family and carers.

Adults

We're here for adults in Luton who are struggling with alcohol and/or drug use. We'll listen to your needs and help you set goals so we can tailor your support. We believe everyone has the ability to change, and we're here to help you do it.

Young People

We help people under 25 with things like:

  • Drug and alcohol use
  • Health and wellbeing
  • Offending behaviour
  • Mental health
  • Family support
  • Someone else’s alcohol or drug use
  • Independent advocacy and visiting

Friends and Family

We have a family, friends and carer service. We're here to support you if your loved one is using drugs and/or alcohol. We'll provide you with information, advice and support.

You don't have to be a registered carer for our support, and the person who is using drugs or alcohol doesn't need to be in treatment with us. We'll ensure that you can confidentially reflect on your own needs and wellbeing without any judgement.

We offer 1-to-1 sessions covering the five steps of a family intervention. If you need it, we can also refer you to our counselling service or any partner agencies.

What We Do

Alcohol

People use alcohol for different reasons – to be sociable, to relieve stress, cope with anxiety, and many other reasons. However, your drinking may be affecting you in ways you may not realise. You have the potential to change your drinking. We are here to help you achieve it.

Drugs

We offer free and confidential advice and information around drugs. Whether you want to reduce your drug use or stop altogether, we're here for you.

We have a needle exchange programme and can offer advice about safer injecting. We also offer free naloxone and training on how to use it.

Volunteer

Volunteering

Volunteering is absolutely vital to the service we deliver. Volunteers bring a range of skills and experience to our service. If you are interested in becoming a Volunteer/Peer Mentor, please do get in touch.
