Proudly serving the diverse neighbourhoods of Hockwell Ring, Lewsey, and Leagrave, our group is dedicated to empowering and supporting women in our community. Shanthona Women's Group has been making a meaningful impact for two decades, enriching the lives of women in our community. Founded in 2004 as a grassroots community initiative, our commitment to empowering women led us to attain charity status in 2009.
Driven by a dedicated management committee, alongside the tireless efforts of local women and volunteers from diverse backgrounds, including Black, Minority Ethnic (BME) communities, and those for whom English is not their first language, we strive to create an inclusive space for all.
Recognising the importance of accessibility, we offer translation services in Bengali, Urdu, and Hindi, ensuring that language is never a barrier to participation and support within our community.
