Community Trail

This project took place in 2023 and has now been completed. This project takes place in a residential setting so the location has been changed to protect the privacy of the residents.

Our project proposal aimed to establish a dedicated program focused on assisting service users on their recovery journey. This initiative emphasized the 5 Ways to Wellbeing framework, enabling participants to create positive changes in their lives and the lives of those we currently supported, as well as past beneficiaries.

The project was a collaboration between two mental health support services based in Nottingham. It aimed to provide support and opportunities for both current service users and former participants of through our monthly coffee mornings. These gatherings featured a therapeutic program designed to engage individuals in their recovery and foster a sense of community to enhance self-esteem. We offered learning workshops where participants utilized the space to explore positive experiences that contributed to maintaining good mental health. Our support focused on developing new, healthy skills essential for their ongoing journey, addressing topics like mental health management, coping strategies, planning, mindfulness, and meditation. They also organized activities such as a trip to Skegness, a Christmas meal, a trip to the cinema and regular smoothie events to promote healthy living and overall wellbeing.
