Your Own Place CIC
"to prevent homelessness"
Your Own Place is an award-winning social enterprise with a mission to prevent homelessness and we believe everyone should have a safe and secure home. Everything we do starts with values, relationships, quality, impact and trust.
We run small, informal group workshops or one-to-one sessions within the community, exploring housing options, managing money, employability skills, and sustaining tenancies. We support people to identify their own solutions by building on existing knowledge, skills and confidence. Our workshops are interactive, hands-on and visually engaging, designed as an inclusive way to make remembering the topics/information discussed as easy as possible.
Are you supporting someone who wants the space to explore and build their confidence with managing money, bills, housing, or building support networks?
At Your Own Place, we know that people already have strengths, skills and experiences to draw on, but may benefit from the space and support to build on them.
We work alongside people, not to tell them what to do, but to help them feel more confident, connected and in control of their situation. Through the ‘Inspiring Change’ project, we are supporting people to build financial resilience, strengthen their confidence, and sustain their homes. This might mean exploring everyday money, finding ways to increase income, or connecting with the right support at the right time.
