We serve affordable meals every day. Our pay-what-you-feel meal model means no one goes hungry, and no one feels shamed.

Pastries & Soup, Every Day
If all you need is a warm bowl and a quiet place to breathe — that’s enough. It’s always free and always accessible

Kindness Vouchers
We sell gift vouchers and share them with local organisations to ensure those in need can access a hot meal without the stigma.

Fighting Food Waste with Imagination
We cook creatively using surplus ingredients and teach how to stretch a meal without stretching your wallet.

A Space for Gathering
Community starts when people have somewhere to gather. Our venue is open to ideas and open to everyone. From coffee mornings and birthday dinners to gig nights and grassroots meetings.

Workshops for the Soul
We host regular art, craft, poetry, music and movement sessions. Led by local makers, movers, and storytellers. No experience needed. Just curiosity.

The Book Swap Shelf

Take a book, leave a book or just read quietly in the corner. No memberships. No due dates. Just stories finding new homes.

Clubs & Socials

We believe fun is radical, play is powerful and connection doesn’t always need a clipboard. Our games and socials are about making space for joy. Shared, simple and slightly chaotic. From Chess socials and lego builds to Quiz nights and book clubs. You'll always be welcomed.

Fancy Dress and Uniform Swap

Need a school uniform or fancy dress outfit? Got one to pass on? Our free uniform and outfit bank helps families while reducing waste and cost.

Live Events & Exhibitions
From open mics to spoken word nights, local art shows to late-night improv, we showcase the raw, the brilliant and the unexpected.

Web3 & Digital Creatives
We’re not just analogue dreamers. We offer space, meetups and collabs for NFT artists, digital creators and the Web3-curious, because community and technology can dance together.

Got a product, a vision or a food idea bubbling away? We offer real-world startup support, mentoring, advice and a shot at making it real.

Rent-a-Shelf
Try retail without the big leap. We give makers and micro-brands a platform to sell in our community shop — low risk, high vibes.

Monthly Markets
Our Sunday markets celebrate local producers, crafters, artists and foodies — it’s business meets festival, twice every month.

Volunteer

Calling all legends, loafers, and low-key heroes…

The Cwtch Hub is on a mission to bring warmth, connection and a little bit of creativity to Newton Abbot.
We’re basically a community-powered whirlwind of chaos and kindness and we need more legends to help us stir the pot!

We’re looking for volunteers who can:

Brew strong coffee and stronger friendships

Cook up comfort food with love & bake epic cakes

Paint, craft, write, or just cheer others on while they do

Play board games (and pretend you’re not bothered when you lose)

Help run Sunday markets, organise fundraising events and help us host our glitter-fuelled awards night!

It’s not glamorous. It’s not perfect.
But it is meaningful, messy, joyful and full of community magic. Just legends showing up and mucking in.

No experience? No problem.
Just bring your time, kindness, and sense of humour.

You won’t get paid – but you will get purpose, pals and pretty awesome cake.
