MenWalkTalk

"Supporting men’s mental health through free walk-and-talk groups that build connection & community."

Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes

WHAT IS MenWalkTalk?

MenWalkTalk is a UK charity creating safe, supportive spaces where men can walk side by side, talk openly, and connect with others.

Men – This is for you.
Walk – Movement that supports both mental and physical health.
Talk – Because talking helps, and no one should struggle alone.

We organise free, volunteer-led walk-and-talk groups in parks, along seafronts, through woodlands, and in towns, bringing men together in a relaxed, pressure-free way to support mental wellbeing.

Every step matters. Each walk creates a safe space for men to connect, share, and support one another.

These walks are about more than exercise. They’re about connection, community, and making a real difference, together.

What We Do

What to Expect

There’s no pressure to talk, no judgement and no expectations. Whether you want to open up, listen or just enjoy being around others, you’ll be welcomed exactly as you are.

What started with a single walk in Littlehampton has now grown into a network of men walking and talking across the UK.

Every walk is built on the same simple belief: that walking side by side can change lives.

So whether you’re looking for support, wanting to meet new people or just need a reason to get outside, MenWalkTalk is here for you.

  • Walks last between 60–90 minutes, led by trained volunteers
  • Open to all men aged 18+
  • No talking required, just being there helps
  • We walk in parks, seafronts, woods and local paths
  • You’re welcome to come once or every time

How You Can Help Us

MenWalkTalk is powered by volunteers. If you care about men’s mental health and believe in the power of connection, there are plenty of ways you can help.

You could support us by:

Becoming a Walk Leader – hosting regular walk-and-talk groups and creating a safe, welcoming space for men

Becoming a Community Networker – spreading the word locally, linking with community groups, and helping us reach men who may need support

Skills-Based Volunteering – using your professional skills (e.g. marketing, admin, fundraising, digital, data, or events) to strengthen what we do

You don’t need to be an expert, just reliable, empathetic, and willing to listen. Full guidance and support are provided.  By volunteering with MenWalkTalk, you’ll be helping men feel less alone and more supported, one walk at a time. Click here for more information - MenWalkTalk Volunteering
