"To break down economic barriers to ADHD support"
Reading ADHD Group
Support Network for Adults with ADHD
Reading ADHD Group is a grassroots initiative dedicated to supporting adults with ADHD through free, inclusive, and accessible services. Founded and operated by a single individual, the group offers in-person support meetings on the last Tuesday of each month, monthly online workshops.
The group was founded at the end of 2024, following the conclusion of an educational course provided by Early Road. Inspired by the connections formed during the course and a long-standing desire to create an in-person support space, the first meeting was launched. Since then, the group has continued to grow, with monthly attendance ranging from 6 to 15 participants, including both regular and occasional attendees.
At its core, Reading ADHD Group seeks to break down economic and informational barriers that often prevent individuals from accessing proper ADHD support. The group challenges the prevailing two-tier system that tends to favor those with financial resources and the capacity to navigate complex healthcare systems. By offering free and open-access support, the Reading ADHD Group is working to ensure that ADHD care and community are within reach for everyone.

As a grassroots, unfunded initiative, Reading ADHD Group relies entirely on community support, and every bit of help makes a meaningful difference.
We’re always on the lookout for venues to host our monthly workshops and support groups. If you have access to a space or know of a welcoming location we could use, we’d be incredibly grateful to hear from you.
We also love collaborating with professionals who can facilitate our coping strategy sessions. If you're an ADHD coach, healthcare professional, counsellor, or work coach with insights to share, your contribution could have a huge impact.
Additionally, we're always keen to feature lived experience stories on our blog. If you have a personal ADHD journey or perspective you'd like to share, please get in touch. We believe your voice matters.
At the heart of what we do is a mission to break down economic barriers to ADHD support. If you think you have a skill or resource that could help us move closer to that goal, we’d love to hear from you.
Lastly, if you're someone who’s confident with WordPress, we would really appreciate your help in improving and maintaining our website.
Thank you so much for considering supporting Reading ADHD Group. It means the world to us.
