Community Building
Holmfirth Tech Ltd
"The place to go for arts, learning, wellness and enterprise in the Holme Valley"
Holmfirth Tech Ltd is a Community Benefit Society with exempt charity status, created and supported by local people to improve wellbeing across the Holme Valley. We manage Holmfirth Tech, a community-owned hub that offers a safe, inclusive and welcoming space for local people to connect and rebuild confidence.
Our Core Activities
Holmfirth Tech offers an array of suitable spaces for arts, learning, wellness and enterprise. Instantly people in the Holme Valley can engage with:
Links @ The Tech coffee mornings every Thursday 10.30am - 12.30pm, with a different focus each week - friendly, welcoming, and free to attend.
On Tuesdays we have Craft Cafe from 10am until 12pm run by Kath Chiswick. Each week you can learn something new, get creative and make friends. A small donation of £5 is generally made towards the material costs and refreshments.
All our activities can be found on our What's on page on the Holmfirth Tech website
We need people who are friendly and helpful, and reliable and trustworthy. They need to be eager to share their own skills or experience, and keen to learn new skills. They may be working generally unsupervised or as part of a team, depending on the work required.
Some volunteers help us at events or during activities, some volunteer regularly, week in week out, and others volunteer from home, as and when they can.
