Happy Somedays

"Inclusive, stigma-free sports and community where everyone belongs and wellbeing comes first."

Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes

Happy Somedays is a vibrant and welcoming community group committed to promoting inclusivity, well-being, and social connection through sports and fitness. Our mission is to create a safe and supportive environment where people from all walks of life can come together, enjoy physical activities, and build lasting friendships.

Our Ethos: Inclusion and Stigma-Free Enjoyment

At Happy Somedays, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to participate in sports and social events without fear of judgment or exclusion. Our ethos revolves around:

  1. Inclusion: We actively embrace diversity and celebrate individual differences. Whether you’re an avid football player, a fitness enthusiast, or someone trying a new sport for the first time, you’re welcome here. Our doors are open to people of all ages, backgrounds, abilities, and identities.
  2. Stigma-Free Enjoyment: We challenge stereotypes and break down barriers. No matter your skill level, we encourage you to join us on the field, court, or track. Whether it’s a friendly game of badminton or a jog in the park, we want you to experience the joy of movement without any stigma attached.

Supporting Our Communities

Happy Somedays is passionate about making a positive impact beyond sports. We actively support various communities, including:

  • LGBTQ+ Participants: We stand with our LGBTQ+ members, fostering an environment where they can express themselves freely and authentically.
  • Disabled Participants: We adapt our activities to accommodate different abilities, ensuring that everyone can participate comfortably.
  • Blind and Visually Impaired Individuals: Through adapted sports and sensory experiences, we create opportunities for those with visual impairments to engage in physical activity.

Promoting Health and Giving Back

Our commitment extends beyond the playing field. We believe that physical health is closely linked to mental well-being. By engaging in sports and fitness, we aim to improve both aspects of our members’ lives.

Additionally, Happy Somedays actively engages in fundraising and voluntary projects. Whether it’s organizing charity runs, supporting local causes, or volunteering in the community, we believe in giving back.

Join us at Happy Somedays and be part of a community that values inclusivity, friendship, and the joy of movement. Together, we’ll create countless happy somedays!

What We Do

Happy Somedays offers inclusive fitness sessions at the Woodhouse Park Lifestyle Centre. These sessions are free and open to everyone, with a welcoming atmosphere that encourages all levels and abilities. Parents or guardians are welcome to bring their children along.

Happy Somedays football sessions at St. Paul’s High School offer a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone. Women can join every Tuesday from 7-8 PM, and men from 8-9 PM. Here, you can enjoy football in a relaxed, supportive, and stigma-free environment where all abilities are welcomed and encouraged.

At Happy Somedays, we're not just about promoting wellness and fitness—we're equally passionate about giving back to our community and fostering a cleaner, greener environment. That's why we're thrilled to announce our partnership with Wythenshawe Waste Warriors.
