Ophelia House delivered by Phoenix Futures is a specialist residential rehab for women seeking support for drug or alcohol misuse.
The service has been developed to meet the needs of women who require abstinence-based residential substance use treatment in a safe and therapeutic environment.
The service provides 26 single occupancy rooms with ensuite bathrooms, spacious recreational areas, a large kitchen and dining space, consultation rooms and a large gardens where we deliver our Recovery Through Nature activities.
Our multi-disciplinary team comprising of therapeutic workers, counsellors, a psychiatrist and a nurse provide personalised support through one-to-one consultations, groups and complementary therapies within a Therapeutic Community approach.
The main aim of the Therapeutic Community (TC) approach is to bring about change in the attitudes and behaviour of community members. It is specifically designed and organised so that all the elements of the TC help you learn and develop more effective social skills so that you can function and live your life in a more positive way. This is achieved by its members taking responsibility for the running of the house and living with and supporting each other’s recovery journey.
Safe move on planning and aftercare support is also provided for all community members.
Medically monitored detox is available subject to assessment.
We accept privately funded placements at the service however many of our placements are through local authority funding. Please reach out to us for further information regarding funding pathways or referrals.
