Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes
Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity whatever their situation. Woolwich Service Users Project (WSUP) is a grassroots charity that provides practical and emotional support to those seeking help in our community.
We support people who are going through, or are at risk of, poverty, homelessness, addiction and any other life challenges. We offer essential services including a warm, safe drop-in centre where people in need can access hot meals, showers, haircuts, a laundry service and a clothing bank. We are a non-judgmental environment and our doors are open to everyone in our community who needs us.
We partner with external organisations to provide advice and support sessions for our guests (service users). These services include help with healthcare, housing, employment, skills training, addiction, debt and legal issues. We also run a range of wellbeing activities, including yoga and meditation, to enhance our guests’ health and quality of life.
We want our guests to feel part of a community that values and cares for them, and supports them to create a better future.

No booking or appointment required. Just come along and you’ll receive a warm welcome. We provide a safe, non-judgemental environment where our guests can have access to:
- hot meals
- showers
- haircuts
- a laundry service
- a clothing bank
We’re here for those facing poverty, homelessness, addiction, mental illness, or any life challenges. Our doors are open to everyone in our community who needs us.

We also need donations of the following:
- Clothes, especially warm jumpers and coats
- Sleeping bags and blankets
- Large rucksacks
- Strong carrier bags
- Unused toiletries, especially toothpaste, roll-on deodorant and razors
- New underwear, especially men’s
- Men’s socks that are clean and in good condition
- Cleaning products and washing powder/laundry detergent
