Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes
Bethwin Road is a post-detox, residential 12-Step treatment centre providing a 12-week programme of rehabilitation for men and women with drug and alcohol problems. Clients benefit from community living, peer support and gain life skills through participating in the running of this 14-bed Victorian house in Camberwell.
What we do
At Kairos Community Trust, we are dedicated to helping homeless men and women with drug and alcohol problems. We do this through our abstinence-support hostel, our rehab programmes and our network of 30 supported Move-on houses, most of which are in south London.
Our core services provide: sober hostel accommodation, day programme rehab, residential rehab, supported housing and aftercare. Each service can be accessed separately or they can be combined to build individual pathways to recovery over a period of time. All our services are delivered by experienced teams of qualified therapists, support workers and administrators.
Addiction and homelessness are twin problems, and we believe that the journey to recovery from drugs and alcohol begins in a safe, secure environment.

■ Kairos encourages the use of self-help groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and other 12-Step fellowship meetings
■ Holistic treatments such as acupuncture, massage and meditation classes
■ Family visits are encouraged
■ Family therapy – professional counsellors support family members in understanding the nature of addiction, identifying their role and the concept of co-dependency within the relationship
