Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes

Enable Enfield Drug and Alcohol Service 

Our Enable Enfield Service provides specialist treatment to anybody over the age of 18 living in Enfield who is worried about their alcohol or drug use. 

Enable is run by North London NHS Foundation Trust in partnership with Enfield Council.

 

Drop in 

We are now accepting drop-ins at our new, permanent home. Please feel free to come and see us during our opening hours for an initial assessment. You don’t need to make an appointment for your first visit, just drop in and you will be seen by one of our workers.

How we can help

Our dedicated team will:

  • work with you to create a personalised care plan tailored to your recovery goals.
  • Connect you with additional services, including GPs, training, counseling, peer support groups, and residential rehab.
  • Support you in making healthier life choices.

If you're worried about your drinking, we partner with HAGA to provide free online treatment and support.

We also offer guidance for friends and family who are concerned about a loved one.

  • Telephone or face-to-face appointments with a skilled worker to help you access the right service.
  • Regular one-on-one sessions to support your decisions about substance use.
  • Expert therapists providing psychological treatment and counseling.

Treatment options for drug and alcohol recovery:

  • Substitute prescribing and community detox for opiate users.
  • Community alcohol detox programs.
  • Access to a variety of groups, programs, and workshops.
  • Funded treatment options for detox, residential rehab, and structured day programs.

Improve your health

  • Health and wellbeing sessions with our nursing team.
  • Bloodborne virus testing and vaccinations.
  • Workshops, activities, and complementary therapies to support your overall wellbeing.

Strengthening relationships

  • Support for carers, friends, and family.
  • Specialised support for parents and those affected by substance use.
  • Assistance for individuals facing domestic violence.

Building a support network

  • Access to education and training opportunities.
  • Support with benefits, housing, and welfare.
  • Volunteering and peer mentoring programs
